Palestinian Joy, a flag raising organized by West Orange for Humanity and allied organizations celebrated the flag of Palestine when the City of West Orange failed to honor its commitments to inclusion and celebration. As the speakers point out, Palestinian joy is resistance. Speaker Tova Fry also mentions a scheduled municipal resolution that would equate anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism. We’ll report soon on when and what the contents of the resolution are, so that community members building a West Orange that stands for liberation and an end to the genocide can meet the moment.
